Images & views across the stunning landscape of the Isle of Mull, Inner Hebrides, Scotland

RIVER BA, SCENIC ROAD TO SALEN

This idyllic valley has the river Ba running through it, complete with this picturesque packhorse bridge crossing over it.

SUNKEN HULKS, SALEN

These old fishing boats, located just off the road to Tobermory, are slowly being reclaimed by the sea and elements and i was glad to capture them for prosperity.

BEN MORE

Around nearly every corner on the southern half of the Isle of Mull, Ben More (the islands highest peak at 622metres) comes in to view and looks especially impressive with a light dusting of snow.

WHITE CROFT ENROUTE TO SALEN

One of the picturesque crofts dotted throughout the Isle of Mull.  This one has a west view over the North Atlantic and is situated on the scenic route to Salen.

HIGHLAND COW

One of the many Hilghland Cows on the island, originally housed in the owners crofts to provide milk & meat, these hardy cattle are well suited to the Hebrides

MONARCH OF THE GLEN

A magnificent Red Deer Stag spotted close to Carsaig Bay. Although he was aware of my presence he remained for his 'photo shoot'.

TOBERMORY (RUBHA NAN GALL) LIGHTHOUSE

Situated just north of Tobermory, this lighthouse was constructed in 1857 and was tended by lighthouse keepers until it became automated in 1960

CARSAIG TELEPHONE BOX

At the end of a small single track road to the pretty bay of Carsaig on the Isle of Mull sits this very incongruous red telephone box. The kiosk was featured in the 1945 film "I know where I'm going to" and is now mainly used by tourists and hikers to this remote area. Surely there is no more picturesque setting to "Phone Home"?
